Recommended App: Just Press Record
You won't believe how often I get asked by my colleagues about an app or a program that transcribes interviews. There are a few out there. But none that I really like.
Someone recommended Just Press Record (5$, 5.50€, 5CHF). An audio recorder with automatic transcription built in. I really like the way it works and the UI especially. But the transcriptions are hit and miss as with all other services. I'm still faster transcribing an interview myself than using auto-transcription and fixing all the mistakes later.
So I forgot about the app. Until I rediscovered it on my Apple Watch. That's where Just Press Record really shines. I use it for small notes. Even in the shower.
Whenever I have an idea for an article or just a few sentences I press record. And later I find all my notes on the iPhone. Sure OneNote my note app and digital brain can do that too. But I prefer the way Just Press Record works and looks on the Apple Watch. Highly recommended!
